The Potluck Club Podcast
We are two friends, who made our way through eating disorder recovery as Asian Pacific Islander (API) women and are dedicated to make care & healing more accessible to our communities.
Ivory Loh (MPH, RDN, cPT)
Hi everyone! My name is Ivory (she/her/她).
I currently live in Seattle, WA. Culturally, I am Southeast Asian and was born in a small city in Malaysia called Kuching (Fun Fact: Kuching means “cat city” in Malay).
Professionally, I am a Health-at-Every-Size Registered Dietitian / Nutrition Therapist and Personal Trainer, who is passionate about supporting people in developing a nourishing relationship with food, movement, and their bodies that is rooted in body trust, respect, and pleasure.
I specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating recovery and chronic disease management from a weight-inclusive lens. I work with clients virtually and at the outpatient level in my own private practice.

About Joan
Joan Zhang
Hello! My name is Joan (she/her/她).
I currently live in Houston, TX, and I’m the eldest daughter of Chinese immigrants. I’ve spent my career working in the mental health space at companies like Headspace, and this all started because I developed an eating disorder during my freshman year at Harvard.
I am now the CEO / co-founder at Arise, a virtual eating disorder startup focused on expanding access to care in historically underserved communities. I’m excited to foster more conversations within the Asian American Pacific Islander community about body image and food narratives across generations and cultures.
About Joan

She has worked with conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases and eating disorders. Our Goal
To demystify eating disorders and disordered eating, build awareness around how disordered patterns, body image, and mental health concerns exist within the API community, and explore the challenges and strengths that are unique to our community.
Along the way, Ivory and Joan share their own stories and invite folks to join them in offering their own food and body stories.
